Yelle‘s new single “OMG!!!” is now out on Recreation Center.
Some weeks ago, French sparkling pop duo Yelle promised to unveil a brand new track. Initially planned for July, it got eventually postponed (maybe because of the World Cup, who knows // EDIT Aug 23: The band confirmed on Twitter, this was not the real reason). The wait is now over as Julie Budet and GrandMarnier have just shared the follow up to the excellent “Romeo“. “OMG!!!” is a club-oriented synth-pop single with a surprising break in the middle. It comes with a bold video which was directed by Ines Alpha and Panteros666.
About this new track, YELLE detailed:
‘OMG!!!’ is an ode to the power of the sun. This magical effect that turns everyone on. The rebirth, the renaissance! But it’s also an ode to the absurdity of this fact. Donovan the hamster got it right! You can always listen to Yelle if you need a sun!
