Three longtime friends, three songwriters, two singers in a true dual frontman setup… New York indie rock band The Dig recently released “Astronaut,” a track which is taken from their latest LP “Bloodshot Tokyo.”
The quartet, which is very pleased to mention bands such as The Kinks, Betty Harris, Parliament or even Bach as influences, is totally in line with the classic indie rock tradition. Even if “Astronaut” can sound a bit linear at times, the vocals are definitely the point that caught our attention. Both retro and singular, they serve as sound guides through this indie space-rock track.
