Funeral Advantage‘s new album Nectarine is due out February 22 on Sleep Well Records.
pronoun‘s Brooklyn-based record label Sleep Well has already amazed us earlier this year with “Goner“, the stunning debut track of Beauty Queen. They’re now bringing to our ears the first single off of Funeral Advantage‘s new album. “Black House” is an infectious lead single which mixes uplifting synth-pop arrangements and a captivating, emo-tinged chorus. About the track, the Boston’s artist detailed:
[su_quote]Black House is about admitting to someone that you don’t have it in you to love them back. The title comes from a story my uncle told me about a neighbor who painted his house black and the neighborhood that formed a committee to make him paint his house back to a normal color.[/su_quote]
