“☯” is taken from F. Virtue‘s monthly project The Things I’d Talk to Harry About, to be released on FiveSe7en Music.
A few months ago, Canadian rapper and producer Will Kowall, also known as F. Virtue, decided to share a new song on the last Thursday of every month. For his June instalment, the MC, who is openly gay and champions equality and tolerance from the inside, invited an all-star line-up straight from New York’s underground scene. Produced by Kowall himself and mastered by Designer Drugs, “☯” also features NYC icon and electroclash pioneer Melissa Burns, Chinks Doe, Infinite Coles (Ghostface Killah‘s son) as well as FKA Twigs‘ collaborator Kaner Flex. As the Chinese symbol yin and yang suggests it, the track deals with balance and “peace of mind,” as each of the guests shares their own definition of the concept. Listen below.
