Newcomer: Dyasono
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]E[/su_dropcap]very Monday, we present a new artist that, in our opinion, deserves your attention. This week, we introduce you to Los Angeles-based singer and multi-instrumentalist Dyasono. The artist, who was born in Indonesia, and then relocated to Malaysia before moving to the US, recently shared her debut single “Hello, You”; a downtempo electro-pop track that is a positive reminder to always stay optimistic about the future.
Nidia Minaj – Puro Tarraxo
French girls do it better! Bordeaux-based producer Nídia Minaj is a 19-year-old talent whose stage name is obviously inspired by
Dream-pop project Eli share breakup song “Okay”
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]H[/su_dropcap]jalt Ross‘ musical project Eli is not really a solo escapade as it also features some members of the music collective LYDTAET, who are by the way his best friends. You might have guessed with their name, but this psyche dream-pop act comes from Denmark and is active since 2014. The title of the track “Okay” is an illusion and you won’t need to ferret out for a long time. The song is, as the artist describes it himself: “a real teen-depressive breakup song”.
Kweku Collins – Stupid Rose
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]K[/su_dropcap]weku Collins is a rising artist, a star who is about to shine beyond Evanston, the suburbs of Chicago where he has grown. This 19-year old rapper, producer, and songwriter has always been creating music as he comes from a musical family. On his debut LP “Nat Love”, that was released earlier this month via Closed Sessions, he shows that hip-hop is not only about gangsters and strip-clubs. The album is particularly intimate as he produced all the songs but one himself, in his room. Our favorite one, “Stupid Rose”, is a low-key smooth banger about the souvenir of a bad bitch he used to love; a one-way love affair.
Watch Beyoncé’s full video project “Lemonade” NOW
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]E[/su_dropcap]veryone is talking about that. “Lemonade” is the album and the video project that totally dominates market attention. Between support messages and also a lot of criticisms via the social media, Beyoncé is at least the focus point. As a reminder, this video, that was first supposed to be a documentary, was broadcasted by HBO during the weekend. It was actually the new album of Queen Bey with a video for each track of it. In the wake of this exclusive project, she also dropped her sixth opus, with a TIDAL exclusivity. Now, by chance, the whole video is online and you can watch it below!
GRAND BLANC (live and interview) – HighClouds x Today’s Indie Music
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]T[/su_dropcap]he French electro-garage-pop band Grand Blanc was playing at Le Botanique in Brussels. As part of the Today’s Indie Music x HighClouds collaboration, the band accepted to let us follow them on stage but also backstage. These exclusive footages feature live snippets of their performance. You will also hear some confessions about the formation of the band, their creative process, and their current evolution from a studio band to a gigging band. Discover more about this French quartet below!
BELGITUNES: thems
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]F[/su_dropcap]or once, our BELGITUNES section will be devoted to a Frenchy who lives in Belgium. Indeed, the electronic music project thems, which is the stage nickname of solo producer Felix Muhlenbach, has started his musical path in France, in cities like Strasbourg or Dijon. As the artist mentions it, moving gave some color to his music. Therefore, it follows that his debut EP is named “Voyage”. In 5 tracks, thems is taking you places, like if you were watching the landscapes roll past through a train window.
Azealia Banks – The Big Big Beat (video)
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]S[/su_dropcap]he does not leave anybody indifferent and she never keeps her tongue in her pocket! I guess that cunt can get eaten. She divides our team, like Madonna and Lady GaGa would cause a gay world war. In short, she’s a sensational phenomenon. Our dear pest friend Azealia Banks dropped by surprise her new mixtape “Slay-Z”. It features the 90’s anthem “The Big Big Beat”. And now, there is a video to go with it!
