After a marathonian teasing, 16-year-old Canberra up and coming artist Biblemami – who lived in Brussels in her childhood by the way – finally unveiled her nonchalant debut single “act ur age.” Raised on a diet of mainstream and indie, the singer-songwriter and producer combines the immediacy of pop melodies with a very DIY indie approach. Both a riot grrrl anthem and a middle finger to those who don’t take the youngsters seriously, this captivating introduction also comes with a bedroom-made video.
