Oslo’s newcomer BRIGT offers his lo-fi version of jazz standard “Tenderly”

BRIGT‘s new track, “Tenderly,” is out today via Playground Music Scandinavia.

Oslo-based 20-year-old artist BRIGT, known to be Jakob Ogawa‘s keyboard player, follows up on “Untitled” with his sophomore single today. Titled “Tenderly,” the track is actually a cover of the jazz standard written by Walter Gross and Jack Lawrence and made popular by legendary singers such as Chet Baker, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan, who was the first artist to sing it in 1946. With his smooth and playful croon and his lo-fi arrangements, the newcomer pays homage to the popular song and continues to introduce his nostalgia-tinged bedroom pop and his love for the golden oldies.
