Buzzy Lee announces new album Shoulder to Shoulder, shares lead single “Bad Company”

"Bad Company" is taken from Buzzy Lee's third album Shoulder to Shoulder, out March 27 via Future Classic.

Buzzy Lee, the musical project of Los Angeles songwriter Sasha Spielberg, has announced her third studio album, Shoulder To Shoulder, set for release on March 27, 2026 via Future Classic. It marks her first full-length since Internal Affairs in 2023, and it began taking shape after she moved to New York in 2021 to live with her partner, Harry McNally. What started as simple home recording sessions between the two gradually evolved into something more meaningful. After rediscovering those early sketches a year later, they realized they had the emotional foundation for a new album. Determined to preserve that initial spark, much of the record was ultimately captured in their Chelsea loft, where their shared living space became a creative sanctuary. The result is a deeply personal collection of songs that feels intimate, cinematic, and obviously, rooted in real life.

The first taste of the album comes with “Bad Company,” a tender ballad written at the piano late one evening. The song grew out of a quiet domestic moment, with its chorus taking shape naturally as the music filled the room. Written and composed by Buzzy Lee, and shaped through warm, understated production, it captures the beauty of small, shared moments. Naturally, the accompanying video is just as intimate, and it was edited by Buzzy Lee herself.
