In February, Charli XCX released one of the best EP of the year. “Vroom Vroom”, which features production work from PC Music‘s artist Sophie, is a project that let nobody indifferent as she both received very good and very bad reviews for it. Anyway, at HighClouds, we simply adore it as you can read it in our previous EP Alert, and we are now super happy to watch the video for the title track of the EP.
This EP is the first one to be released on the new label of the English singer and songwriter: Vroom Vroom Recordings. The artist is also preparing her third album, the follow-up to 2014’s “Sucker”. In addition to Sophie, it looks like other producers such as BloodPop and Stargate are supposed to be involved in the creative process of this third opus.
By the way, the single was featured in the HighClouds30, our weekly charts of the hottest tracks, and it even has remained N°1 for 2 weeks in a row!
About Charli XCX‘s video “Vroom Vroom” video:
It was directed by Bradley and Pablo and is mainly based on contrasts between black-and-white scenes, shadows, and chromed and sepia-ish filters. The singer dances in a black leather outfit in a refined environment, with some dancers, and in front of a luxury and technological car. At the end of the clip, the monochrome environment is broken with a flashy and colorful scene.
