Darrell Simms ‘Elements’ is about drawing on negative and positive elements in your life

Florida-born Los Angeles-based Darrell Simms recently released a new Chris OG-produced single, ‘Elements’, that is a shout from the heart about not having his lyrical contributions taken seriously.

Darrell Simms left Florida when he was 8 to move to Europe with his mother and sister. He spent most of his childhood in Sweden. Nevertheless, he started to get seriously into music once he went back to the US. Currently based in Los Angeles, the artist is definitely a one to watch thanks to his fresh mix of hip-hop and electronic music. On his latest release which was produced by Chris OG, he even reminds us of Kendrick at times.

About ‘Elements’, Darrell Simms explained:

It’s about drawing on negative and positive elements in your life such as, friends, family, fear, failure and success. I wrote it when I was angry, mostly for being taken for granted as a rapper / artist – not having my lyrical contributions taken seriously.
