We’ve been keeping a close eye on the experimental pop artist Discovery Zone since the quietly mesmerizing “Blissful Morning Dream Interpretation Melody” arrived in 2020, followed by Remote Control that same year and Quantum Web in 2024. In 2025, JJ Weihl also shared Dreaming For Miles, a collaborative project with John Moods, gathering songs written over the past decade and recorded between their early basement practice space and their home in Berlin, after spending more than ten years living together. Now, she is ready to share her new era.
Arriving May 15, Library Copy Do Not Remove began as an immersive spatial audio work created for the Zeiss-Groß Planetarium in Berlin, before being reimagined for a stereo release. At its heart, the record gently dissolves the boundary between nature and technology and suggests that they are part of the same continuous loop. Written alongside Quantum Web, these songs carry both excitement and a quiet sense of uncertainty, as Weihl reflects on perception, consciousness, and the hidden structures shaping reality. According to the press release, the album also draws inspiration from figures like James Gleick, Johannes Kepler, and Jorge Luis Borges.
Discovery Zone also unveiled the single “Dusk,” featuring World Brain. The celestial track comes with a video, directed and produced by Mark Dorf, which serves as a gateway into the digital, ethereal world of Library Copy Do Not Remove. Watch below.
