Divino Niño‘s new album Foam is out June 21 on Bloomington’s label Winspear.
Back in January, Chicago psych-pop gang Divino Niño delighted us with their song “Foam” and its stunning, trippy visuals. Today, the four-piece is back with a new track, “Coca Cola”, which announces the release of an upcoming album in June. Combining sunny chillwave arrangements with soft psychedelia, the radiant track is all about living your dreams instead of dreaming your life. Coca Cola, choose happiness, does it make sense to you now?
About the inspiration of the track, Divino Niño‘s Camilo Medina (who also designed the amazing artwork of the album) stated:
At the time, I was working as a designer at an ad agency, getting a dream salary and working with great people. I thought that’s what I wanted to do but I felt like I was wasting my time making things I felt no connection with. Life was feeling flat at the time, so part of the song is me daydreaming of having a way cooler life.
