English alternative outfit Febueder share a second single from their upcoming EP, due to be released this Friday. “Shapeshifter” is another amazing offering and a reflection about transgender youth.
Febueder – pronounced ‘Fe-byou-der’ – are an English trio, comprising of lead vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Kieran Godfrey, percussionist Samuel Keysell, and Toby Ingram on bass. Their smart alternative sound already received support from a lot of publications and their new 5-track EP, due to be released on May 12, should confirm the dynamics.
The second single “Shapeshifter” was born out of discussions on the plight of transgender youth and “it explores the idea of transmogrification – that someone can transform in a surprising or magical manner, rather than conform to a construct or idea of the norm.” There’s something about this song that genuinely captures the serious of the topic from a beautiful human point of view. We are totally caught by the melody and by Godfrey’s vocals and we will check on the EP as soon as it is released on Friday!
