Free Anckaert’s playlist #4: Louis The Child, Leonce, Tim Suby and more

YAS! For his forth week, our brand new playlist curator Free Anckaert – note to native English speakers: yes that’s his real name, it’s not a nickname – is back with a selection of his favorite tracks.

Every week, Free scours through hundreds of SoundCloud tracks to find the best new gems by artists that are flying under the radar.

Each Thursday our Brussels-based fellow overwhelms you with a variety of songs that make your head go nuts. But hey, Thursday is the new Friday! Here are a few of his favorites:

Tim Suby – Tripping On Emotions (Feat. Dustin Atlas):

It’s only his second single ever but I already feel this man is going to be BIG! First single “K Goodnight” featuring Jessie Reyez was a bubble gum pop anthem very much in the contemporary latino-upbeat Drake-style. On “Tripping On Emotions”, Tim uses darker synths and more layers into the percussion and vocals which make it just the banger of the week!

Louis The Child – Love Is Alive (feat. Elohim):

2017 might be the year of Louis The Child. The Chicago duo already hit the charts with songs “It’s Strange”, “Weekend (featuring Icona Pop)” and “Fire” and is now back with a new EP “Love Is Alive”. The title track is just the very solid pop song everyone needs for this sunny weather!

Danny L Harle – ILY2 (Charli XCX – Euphoria remix):

Danny L Harle co-wrote Charli XCX’s recent mixtape “Number 1 Angel”, the best pop I’ve heard since too long! Danny wouldn’t be Danny if he gave a (literally) euphoric twist to already one of the most catchy songs of the mixtape.

Leonce – Advent:

“Advent” is the first single from Leonce’s forthcoming EP “Insurgency”. The pulsing and exhilarating beats, rhythm section and melodic “bird” sounds in “Advent” will make you bounce into the weekend!
