Hadleigh Wild debuts a confessional piece of soul and funk: “Heavy Water”

British born-Trinidad raised boy Hadleigh Wild makes a huge debut with “Heavy Water”, a smooth, soulful and funky single that the artist also describes as “a document of a period of my life“.

Forget the embellishment, Hadleigh Wild comes with a genuine track that is groovy without any additional production and emotional without formatted lyrics. The artist, who is notably influenced by calypso, soca, soul and reggae, delivers an impressive debut that showcases an obvious talent and artistry.

“Heavy Water” was born thanks to Wild‘s collaboration with Iain Mahanty, who is a former member of rock outfit Kids in Glass Houses. Together, they propose a confessional piece of soul and funk that means a lot to the London-based singer. About this debut, he detailed:

I wanted the lyrics to be heard and felt. This song is a document of a period of my life and I wanted my vocal to be as straightforward as the story I tell
