Sir Khamsin and LeMarquis are actually not names I listen to on the regular but after the release of their collaborative track “Leaving”, that may change.
A lush, future-bass tinged track with breathy vocals (courtesy of Saavan) make “Leaving” pleasant enough, but it’s the guitar elements and also the beautifully crafted sounds that blend together which really make the track stand out. Jumping from glitchy drops to segments of pondering guitar, Saavan‘s vocals smoothly weave in and out of the production like a reminder that “Leaving” strives to be more than just any future bass track. It’s epic-sounding in scope, and Saavan‘s vocals give it an indie touch, the colors of the different genres melting into a honey-warm mess that will leave listeners in a feel-good, refreshed mod.[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/290241685″ params=”auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true” width=”100%” height=”450″ iframe=”true” /]
