Latasha Alcindor embodies her understanding of community in “Affirming: Life”

Based out of NYC, hip-hop artist Latasha Alcindor just released a Peter Walker-directed video for “Affirming: Life“.

Latasha Alcindor, aka L.A., is not new to the hip-hop game. Indeed, the alternative artist had the chance to play at SXSW, A3C, and Manifesto and her tracks, speaking on political, social and cultural experiences in her music, already made some waves on the internet. Recently, she shared a 13-track EP is described as “a bashment on wax dedicated to young girls who would push the boundaries of a wild Friday night and the ones who developed into women.” The artist notably uses a lot of childhood anecdotes to talk about the change in her Brooklyn’s neighbourhood.

Taken from this new EP, Latasha Alcindor unveiled a fourth video for the track “Affirming: Life”. Watch it below.

About the track, she detailed:

The song embodies her solid understanding of herself and community, and reconfirms the validity of our necessity to ground oneself.

“Affirming: Life” is taken from Latasha Alcindor‘s latest EP “Teen Nite at Empire”.
