Irish singer-songwriter Mama Ghost recently shared a 4-track folk EP through the young Californian label Northern Streams. The title track “So Close”, which is also the lead single, is a pure delight.
Mama Ghost is Tamra Keenan, a kid who grew up watching her mum preform all over the Irish country side in bands surrounded by Musicians, Hippies, Buddhists and Gypsies. The rest of her family is made of singers, boxers, and pub owners. Maybe it’s the time that she spent with her loved ones that she draw the inspiration and the poetry that one can find back in her lyrics. Her stories are produced by Los Angeles-based Lenny Skolnik who helped her to give life to this 4-track EP.
