After the beautiful lead single “Janie In Love“, that is by the way still ranked at the 23rd rank in the HighClouds30 of this week, Boston-based American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and painter Marissa Nadler keeps on preparing the ground for the release of “Strangers”, her seventh album that will be available on May 20, via Sacred Bones/Bella Union. Discover her self-directed and animated black and white video for her new single “All The Colors Of The Dark”.
The monochromatic video fits perfectly the song and her emotional voice, which both are loaded with nostalgia and smoothness. The instrumental is sober and only features some strings, soft percussions, and her subtle guitar. Thus, her mezzo-soprano voice is particularly present and participates, as an instrument, to the melancholy and the beauty of the track.
