London-based Minke debuts with the instant indie pop song “Gold Angel”

Discover Minke, an enigmatic (Danish?) new artist based in London that recently unveiled a promising indie pop and R&B debut: “Gold Angel”.

While listening to her debut “Gold Angel”, Minke let us think a bit of The xx‘s minimalism that would have been boosted by an important dose of pop music. This guitar-driven debut is an instant pop song that actually deals with an important issue as the lyrics are about the pressures for unattainable perfection that all the women are facing in our societies. For “Gold Angel”, Minke was helped by Rory Andrew, who produced the track, and a famous co-writer: Paul Garred from The Kooks.
