You may recognized Morilla as half of Midnight Pool Party and he just released his first single Impossible which is a love-driven R&B piece.
“Impossible” pays homage to the uncertainties one feels when entering a new relationship and feelings are unclear. The new age R&B scene has been explosive as of late, and Morilla felt that he needed to contribute it with his own art. The single is a vessel for him to put his sexuality front and center and show the world what he’s all about. He stated about it:
“Impossible” is (broadly) about putting your all into a relationship, but not knowing how the other person feels or knows what they want. As a gay man, I think one of the most important things for the ‘equality’ movement is visibility. The experiences and emotions I was experiencing were real when I was writing this song. I wanted people to know that I wrote this song when I was falling in love with another man, and show that what I experience as a gay man is no different to any other relationship. I wanted to stay true to myself and write about my experiences.
Keep up on with Morilla on Facebook and Twitter.
