#MusicMondays with JINCE: 20 new songs to listen to this week on the [Glitch] Playlist

The weekend has come and gone, and alas, you’re here…staring at a screen…most likely pretending to do work while pissing away your time on Facebook—hitting refresh over and over and over and…

Well I’ve got just the thing to break you out of that funk: 20 dope new tracks to sink into.

Jince scours through hundreds of SoundCloud tracks every week to find the best new gems by artists that are flying under the radar.

You can find the full playlist at the bottom of the post. Now, without further ado, let’s get into the featured tracks:

Maggie Horn – Sorry

This track by Maggie Horn (and produced by Nacey) has an unabashedly bright, poppy, smile-until-you-puke type of melody with super-catchy vocals. I dare you to listen to this track without feeling like jumping up and clapping your feet. “Sorry” is one of Maggie’s new tracks since taking a bit of a hiatus. If this is a taste of what’s coming, then sign me up for some of these sweet syrupy pop tunes.

Yolk Lore – World Wings

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/309770910″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

Man, I love this guy. Every time I hear a new track from Yolk Lore, I have this sudden urge to hop on a bike and ride with the wind slapping at my face. The track starts out with these huge epic horns that pave the way for Yolk Lore’s multi-tonal, beach vibes-esque singing and anthemic production. “World Wings” is definitely a track you’ll want to play over and over again.

Julian Lamadrid – Marimba

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/311660306″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

You might do a double take on your first listen to this track, especially if you’re an iPhone owner—the default iPhone ringtone plays a major role in the poppy melody of this track. Julian Lamadrid dropped this upbeat song as part of a brand new EP called “Untouched.” He shows a lot of promise on tracks like this one and dreamy “Stay.”

J.O.Y – Ashamed of Me (feat. Eski Göten)

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/311055959″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

For those of you who’ve been paying attention, you may have noticed a subtle shift in contemporary RnB: it’s been tossed into a blender with trap samples and electronic synths, creating songs like “Ashamed of Me” that duck and weave between genres while maintaining a silky smooth RnB backbone. J.O.Y effortlessly croons while trading barss with Eski Göten, the other standout artist on the track.

Grace Pitts – Cold Without You

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/311544845″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

Grace Pitts is a name that’s new to me, but one that I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on. “Cold Without You” seems to be Grace’s debut track — it’s a sexy, effervescent single that seems to glide through the ears. You can tell that there was great thought put into the composition of the track, so kudos to Grace and her production team for creating such a luscious texture on this track.
