Today, let’s highlight two new tracks from one of our favorite producers of the moment: Nidia Minaj! The Portuguese 19-year-old DJ-producer keeps on delivering a fresh and inspired sound that revisits Kuduro. Recently, she released the synth-afrobeat track “Diva” and the DIY-hypnotic “Gamboa Beatz.”
What we particularly like about Nidia Minaj is her vision: despite her young age, the self-taught producer is able to conciliate sonic experimentations and irresistible rhythms, for the newbies or the connoisseurs. Hips don’t lie! The artist is working with the dynamic and creative Lison-based label Principe, which is fully dedicated to releasing 100% real contemporary dance music coming out of this city, its suburbs, projects & slums.

We recently featured “Puro Tarraxo” in a previous article but to be honest, the music of Nidia really takes another dimension during her live sets. We lived the experience here in Brussels: we saw a whole crowd of Nordic people on fire. Belgian people are not especially known to be specialists of ass shaking yet.
