Despite her Turkish name, Nilüfer Yanya is a London-based artist, whom at the age of 20 released an original debut track called “Small Crimes.” It follows up some covers that she previously shared on Soundcloud. Watch the DIY video that goes with this track: it was directed by Molly Daniel & Patrick Chamberlain.
This song seems to emphasize how one can find themselves performing small crimes and getting lost in them such as lying and getting caught out. However furthermore, it signifies that despite these “small crimes” there are certain things that one will still not be willing to do.
