Brisbane duo OKBADLANDS just released their debut ‘Tiny Measures’ EP, and it’s an iridescent masterpiece from start to finish.
OKBADLANDS, consisting of Kate Gurren and Sally Latter, has spent the last year curating and refining their sound, and now present a sultry collection of songs that are perfect for helping us ease into the weekend.
My personal favorite, a single titled “Where You Go” is a slow-paced and dynamic tune structured by snappy percussion with detuned synth stabs and fuzzy effervescence throughout. The track’s 3-dimensional feel is worth noting and repeatedly induces chills.
Vocally, Gurren and Latter compliment each other very nicely and share a sweet vibrancy that gives the EP a special light.
