Paperwhite – Wanderlust

wanderlust paperwhite escape EP

Brooklyn dream-pop duo Katie and Ben Marshall, aka Paperwhite, recently released a new invitation to escape called “Wanderlust”. The synth-pop track features once again the smooth vocals of Katie on a “pop fantasy” vintage production signed by Ben.

The band says about the track:

“To us, it means so much more than travel and exploration. It’s about having the urge and need to keep dreaming and discovering – whether that’s within yourself or somewhere out there in the unknown.”

We personally think that the band is playing safe with this new track. We don’t really hear the exploring need they talk about, but “Wanderlust” remains a good pop track, in the line of their previous releases.

Paperwhite‘s “Escape EP” and “Wanderlust” are appetizers for their anticipated full LP due out later this year

The song, which follows up “On My Own“, is also featured on their new “Escape EP“, that was released on May 10. The 5-track project is an appetizer for their anticipated full LP due out later this year. You can also follows the band on Spotify and Facebook.
