Brooklyn-based indie quartet Plastic Picnic share perfect summer-infused gem ‘Berkeley’ via Highland Park Records / Roll Call Records.
They might be based in Brooklyn, the four members of Plastic Picnic are Pacific Northwest transplants. Starting as two parralel duos in Seattle (Lincoln Lute and Emile Panerio, Marshall Hunt and Gordon Taylor), they finally joined forces for this ‘indie post rock project soundtracking a John Hughes movie’ as they like to describe it.
Plastic Picnic‘s ‘Berkeley’ is the summer-infused indie gem you need to start August. It sounds familiar enough to be an instant tune but has this melancholic vibe that will be automatically linked to your ephemeral Summer love; a song that is loaded with complex feelings.
