The experimentalist brings out the slow motion vibe out of the original rendition, as she strips it down to its minimal electronic sounds. That’s why she decided to call her cover/remix the “dark” version of the perky single by Monáe. You can see below that she already validated the cover via a tweet.

Taken from an upcoming limited edition 12″ vinyl set to be released on December 7 via Smalltown Supersound, the producer takes pleasure on disconstructing both the lyrics and the music. Creating a cold atmosphere around it, she doesn’t hesitate on giving an entire new twist to the track, released in 2001. Explaining her cover of “More Than A Woman”, Kelly Lee Owens stated:

The remix of my cover was something I wanted to write and produce that gave the original track new life, and also gave people a sense of power—it’s unapologetic.[/su_quote]

Låpsley decided to cover “Pillow Talk” by Zayn Malik a former member of the boys band One Direction.
The band managed to give a fresh and groovy atmosphere to this R&B track that actually makes it even more interesting!

I honestly think the song perfectly fits Marina‘s universe and she completely nailed it. She performed a modern version of the song and she gave a 2016 delightful pop feeling to the song with a special piano version which makes the song even more tender.

If the introduction of the track sounds a bit the same to the original version, it only needs the guitars to turn the dark pop song into a space odyssey. After the performance, the singer and frontman of the man Kevin Parker confessed that he was a bit stressed by the high notes of the track. Don’t worry Kevin, you made a great job!

The NYC-based trio Wet decided to cover one of her songs. They chose to do “Chasing Pavements” which was Adele’s debut single.

Wet recorded the song during their tour with Tobia Jesso Jr. In this cover, they’ve added their magic to the song with Kelly‘s vocals among some electronic beats and loops to make it something really “Wet”.
