Every week, JINCE scours through hundreds of SoundCloud tracks to find the best new gems by breaking artists around the world.

Jince‘s playlists are rumored to cure the common cold. Anyways… check his top picks of the week below:

kiiara – “Whippin” ft. Felix Snow

[su_spacer]

You should know who kiiara is by now. She came out of nowhere a couple years ago and flipped the entire bubblegum trap world on its sticky ass. She’s been keeping low for a few months since she released her debut album, “low kii savage“, but now she’s back with some more trap gold. She teams up with Felix Snow, the master genius behind the boards, on this staggered, distorted anthem for the fuccboi and fuccgirl in all of us.

Bishop Briggs – “Dead Man’s Arms”

[su_spacer]
[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/316344147″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]
[su_spacer]

Bishop Briggs is going to take over the pop-soul world – you heard it here first. On “Dead Man’s Arm’s,” her voice bellows from a place so deep while her croons seem to rumble the speakers. It’s is a track from Bishop‘s newly released self-titled EP. Bishop Briggs‘s on a rocket and all we can do is try and catch a glimpse — lucky for me, I managed to snag a ticket to see her perform in Brooklyn next month.

A R I Z O N A – “Electric Touch”

[su_spacer]
[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/317114218″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]
[su_spacer]

Speaking of performances, can I tell you how bad I feel about missing A R I Z O N A‘s show in NYC a few months ago? Gah, I’m still kicking myself and hearing “Electric Touch” is like pouring salt in the wound. This is the first track they’ve released to us from their debut album, “Gallery”, that’s dropping in about a month on 5/19. Stay tuned for more blissful tracks from them!

fly anakin. – “lunch money” prod. by Thelonious Martin

[su_spacer]
[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/317377747″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]
[su_spacer]

ok, enough polished electronic sounds – time to bring in the boom bap hip hop. “lunch money” is a track which fly anakin. ducks and weaves around the nostalgic production by Thelonious Martin. It’s a short track at only a minute and a half, but it’s more than enough to give us the summertime cookout vibe. I’ve been watching fly anakin. for a while now and have been more and more impressed with every release. He’s got an ear for beats and a flow that’s precise and lackadaisical at the same time.

Benji Lewis – “For You”

[su_spacer]
[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/316276129″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]
[su_spacer]

Last but not least, this serene new track by an artist on the rise from Australia, Benji Lewis. There’s this lush mix of folky vocals with downtempo electronic production with a slight dash of trap hi-hats. I really love where Benji is taking this track and his overall sound – hit play and let “For You” wash over you in a cloudy haze.

JINCE scours through hundreds of SoundCloud tracks every week to find the best new gems by artists that are flying under the radar.

In this week’s playlist/mixtape/drakealbum has a definitive upbeat vibe to it that’ll help you git up and git out there. Before we get into the playlist, Jince will introduce you to five dope, fresh and breaking artists.

LuvAbstract – Body Right

This track feels like biking down an empty road at 3am in the middle of the summer feels like. I only found LuvAbstract recently, but man am I in love with this hazy electro-synth snow globe of sound. They’ve been releasing a steady stream of tracks that seem to be building up to something—I have no idea what it is, but I’m itching for more.

Ariana and the Rose – How Does That Make You Feel

From the enchanting tempo to the robotic vocal distortion, “How Does That Make You Feel” makes you feel really fucking great. This one’s actually the intro track to Ariana and the Rose‘s new EP, “Retrograde“, which has a few other great tracks – all of which you ought to hear. You’ll definitely want to check out some of her other tracks too – her electro-pop experiments are fiiiiiiire.

LVR – GIVING UP

The inner music hipster in me comes out to play anytime I find a fresh artist that has a low follower count on soundcloud. No, it’s not because LVR isn’t good, it’s just that a huge number of people have yet to be #blessed with the sounds of this singer from the UK.  “Giving Up” is slow-paced track that pulls you along gently, but floods you in a forest of 80’s power-ballad influence. He’s only got a couple tracks to his (user)name but I’m def gonna keep an eye on this one.

Jack Vallier – Rebekah

“Rebekah” has been out for a month now, but you still need to listen to it. It’s one of those tracks that you hear in the background then you’re like “oh shit this is kinda dope” and then you shazam the track and then listen to it on repeat. Jack Vallier seems to have come out of nowhere a month ago with this song and this song only. Until i get some more tracks from Jack, I’ll have to savor the lush guitar, bellowing vocals and spacey samples on “Rebekah.”

James Droll – Off Beat

James Droll seems to float on this catchy, serene, airy track. This song came out a few weeks ago (Matias’ awesome premiere does the track more justice) but man, I haven’t been able to get it out of my head. Hopefully writing about it can help me move on, #singletear. In any case, let the sultry jazz vibes overcome you while James whispers sweet nothings into your ears.

Okay, Mondays do suck but what makes them suck less is getting 20 hand picked, mind-numbingly rad tracks delivered to you via interwebz courier (that’s me).

Every weekend, Jince scours through hundreds of SoundCloud tracks to find the best new gems by artists that are flying under the radar.

Every track on this playlist has a sonic characteristic that’ll knock you on your ass, but here are a few of my favorites:

DYLN – Better Things

[su_spacer]
[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/310152558″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]
[su_spacer]

I don’t know what’s more surprising – that DYLN has only 56 soundcloud followers or that she not only writes and sings, but produces too! It must be because she’s a fellow Brooklynite 😉 Though “Better Things” is the only track on her soundcloud page, she gives off the aura of an accomplished pop star. It’s a track that’ll leave you humming the chorus every.fucking.where.you.go. (speaking from experience here) – definitely bright things coming from this rising star

SEV1NE8IGHT (AJ Taylor) – The Man

[su_spacer]
[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/298081859″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]
[su_spacer]

I’ve been Drake-dancing ever since I found this track – it’s got the traphouse minimalist beat mixed with the braggadocious lyrics. This track is coming out of a new NYC-based crew calling themselves SEV1NE8IGHT, of which AJ Taylor is the masterful emcee on this one. I’m not sure where in NYC these guys are based, but you can be damn certain that they’ll be hearing this track blasting out of my bike speakers in Brooklyn this entire week.

Bad Poetry Club – The Words

[su_spacer]
[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/309647025″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]
[su_spacer]

These guys seem to have shown up mysteriously this past weekend with this only one track – I’m DEFINITELY not complaining. It’s got a great jam-bandy vibe with solid hip hop and indie influences. Bad Poetry Club‘s sound is a funky mix – imagine a little bit of Kids these Days sprinkled w/a little bit of Brasstracks-esque instrumentation. Though this is the only track they’ve got out, we’re anxiously waiting for the next one.

Moglii – Breath (feat. Island Fox)

[su_spacer]
[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/310164298″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]
[su_spacer]

Keep an eye on Moglii as he is about to drop his solo debut EP “Naboo” a bit later in 2017 via Majestic Casual Records. We know him since his collaborations with Novaa but lately, this is with UK singer-songwriter Island Fox that he shines in the track “Breath”. The German producer and jazz pianist manages to create a beautiful soundscape, loaded with twisted synths and vocal chops.

Angus Dawson – All The Things I Never Said

[su_spacer]
[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/310024480″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]
[su_spacer]

First of all, round of applause for the name “Angus” – It will be very hard to forget that one. Second, this Aussie brings such a dreamy, incredibly forlorn vibe to this track – it captured my attention immediately on the first listen. Pay attention to the sax solo that pops up towards the end. Goddamn, how sexy is that?

priz – Living Proof

[su_spacer]
[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/310007240″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]
[su_spacer]

You’re going to have a hard time trying not to tap your feet to this melodic track. priz does a great job of leading the melody w/his vocals and still leaves space for the instruments to shine. This self-professed “singa” from “Lundun” has got us itching to hear more bangers.
