Pop-chills & frostbites all over your body this week with this new Deer Du Bois playlist

We have a new song by Ingrid Witt who delivers with “Killing Me” a Nordic popsicle of a dance-floor-filler.

With Lostchild and his take on “Could Be Real” we serve you proper club-realness. Again from Sweden, comes duo Tracy Irve with “Silent Spaces”, uplifting-ly dreamy but touching at the same time. And for some haunting dark dream pop, we call the “Loveline” by Magic Wands, who are currently touring Europe.

Take also a good listen to “Cold” by L.A. newcomer Silkin. A new pop star in the making who combines subtle beats and effects into a harmonic and sensuous unity. And for a pure and intense moment, listen to when Love Sick sings their song “Bullet” in an acoustic piano version. A hint of Banks and a lot of beauty in one!

From the creatively sprouting North we present you Danish singers Penny Police and Ann See, both with their soft-starting delicate ballads “No Horizon” and “Head Het Up” both growing into electronic pop songs, sparking with greatness. For some more indie-Scandi-pop we compiled Stockholm’s “Majestic” new track by synth duo RABBII and Gothenburg’s Tracy Irve with their dark-but-uplifting “Keep Me Close”.

The soundscapes of Low Roar and the vocals of Icelandic songstress Jófríður Ákadóttir are a beautiful miracle on “Bones”, just like boiling water gushing out a geyser.

We would never forget to add some future-funk-dance to our list, and we are happy that the guys from Miami Horror are back with their saxophone driven floor-filler “Leila”. And freshly released, we also welcomed back this week, the new album by London electronic band The Golden Filter. On Optimo Music, they released a damn fine double-faced album from which we selected our favorite floating retro-synth song “Rivers”.

This mix balances you back and forth from the dark side to the bright one with atmospheric tracks by Üm on the exotic sampled “Simha Arom” and the ground shaking “Tribes” by Beach Season. Mellow away on misty clouds with Erik Jonasson on “Autumn Falls” or with Louise Lemon on “Thirst”.

But melancholia takes a turn for the good when you pass by the piano-intro of Sevdaliza on her majestic song “Time”. From there, we can only let the light in with Bonzai and “2B” or with Soulé and “Love No More”.
