Leeds-based trio The Boxing just shared a new single “One By One”. It’s a solid, dark and intense track that deals with depression and the silence around it.
The Boxing are back with a new single, ‘One By One’. It’s the first track that they recorded in a pro studio and what we heard totally got us. About this single, frontman and guitarist Harrison Warke detailed:
[su_quote]‘One by One’ is about depression and the culture of silence around it[…] We wanted to elaborate musically on the first couple of singles, it’s the first tune we’ve recorded in a proper studio and that gave us freedom to experiment and flesh out the arrangement a bit more.[/su_quote]
It’s amazing that the band are able to deliver such a deep sound while only being 3 (drummer Charlie Webb and bassist Henry Chatham are the two other members). With their dark and psyche take on alt-rock, The Boxing belong to this Leeds’ blossoming stage renaissance.
