The Galleria‘s new track, “Stop & Go”, is out on Environ LLC.
Back in 2015, The Galleria amazed us with his anthem “Calling Card” (and with “Mezzanine” as well), an 80s-inspired banger with infectious synths, sick beats, and bubblegum-pop R&B vocals by Jessy Lanza. Today, Morgan Geist, who is also a former member of Metro Area, returns with the same recipe, and it still works pretty well. Jessy Lanza is featured once again, singing here that she wants to have some fun. According to the press release, the project “ripples with the indigenous music of long-dead, suburban New Jersey shopping malls”. If they were actually playing his tracks in the stores, then a lot of clubs would shut down. “Stop & Go” also comes with a drum-a-pella edit and an extended, dancefloor-friendly dub that you can buy via Bandcamp.
