Tuğçe Şenoğul breaks a repetitive emotional cycle on “Bunu Sana Demiştim”

“Bunu Sana Demiştim” is taken from Tuğçe Şenoğul‘s debut album Gölgelerine, out now on Shalgam Records.

Formerly a member of Seni Görmem Imkansız alongside Gaye Su Akyol, Istanbul’s dark pop artist Tuğçe Şenoğul have just shared a new single, “Bunu Sana Demiştim,” taken from her debut album Gölgelerine (“Shadows” in Turkish). A highlight from the 9-track record, the sulphureous and smokey song depicts a poisonous relationship. The hypnotic bass line as well as the almost mystical synths perfectly complement Şenoğul‘s bewitching vocals. The goth-inspired track also comes with a Tuğçe Kep-directed video where a character is metaphorically trapped in a loop of darkness and emotional torture, before eventually finding an exit and the light.
