Watch Baby Queens vintage video for 90s-infused pop banger “Hear Me”

Cardiff 5-piece act Baby Queens recently came back with “Hear Me”, a catchy pop-R&B track with some 90s vibes.

With “Hear Me”, the 5 women behind Baby Queens prove that they master the fusion of genres. The spirit is resolutely inspired by R&B from the 90s (and the video perfectly fits) but one can also hear some pop and dance influences that make the chorus heady as hell. About the track, Cara explained:

Musically it’s our take on Motown driven by a harder bassline more akin to Jungle

Then, Vanity added:

It’s a song about wanting to be heard[…] For example you could be working a 9-5, but secretly be an amazing dancer. Someone who’s a glass collector in a bar, but really they are a brilliant chef, but no one knows because that individual has never voiced it, but deep down in their heart they know what talents they possess but the rest of the world doesn’t know. It’s just wanting to be heard and to be understood.

“Hear Me” is taken from Baby Queens‘ eponymous debut LP.
