Watch Elisa’s self-directed and poetic video for “You Can Wear the Mink”

No, Elisa is not a forgotten star from the 80s who was sharing the stage with Prince and Kate Bush. She’s actually a 25-year-old Rhode Island’s native and despite some obvious retro influences, her vision of pop music is innovative and refreshing. Listen and watch the self-directed video for her latest single “You Can Wear The Mink”.

Singer, songwriter and producer Elisa is not a newcomer as she already released an EP at the age of 23, “These Days”, back in 2015. She fairly received support from NPR and Noisey and her enchanting new single should confirm those first opinions. “You Can Wear The Mink” reminds us of Kate Bush‘s art pop, the synthesizers are subtlely hypnotic and the whole thing comes with a beautiful and dramatic video.

About this new release, Elisa explained to The Line Of Best Fit:

‘You Can Wear The Mink’ is a song about surrendering to love,[…] The visual, filmed in a space that feels deliberately staged and somewhat removed from reality, is a reflection on the pursuit of fantasy and the safety that comes with pretending.

Elisa‘s “You Can Wear The Mink” is taken from her upcoming EP “Morning Again” due for later this year. Meanwhile, you can stream her latest single on our main Spotify playlist ‘Daily Dose for Music Junkies’.

Elisa has a Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Soundcloud accounts.
