Weyes Blood shares otherworldly ballad “God Turn Me Into A Flower”

“God Turn Me Into A Flower” is taken from Weyes Blood‘s new album, And In The Darkness, Hearts Aglow, out this Friday via Sub Pop.

In 2019, Weyes Blood announced a trilogy of albums with inaugural album Titanic Rising, which was an observation of doom to come. On Friday, she will unveil the second installment, And In The Darkness, Hearts Aglow, and this time, we’re in the thick of it. “We’re in a fully functional shit show,” she explains about the context of the project, in which she tries to navigate our current chaotic and instable world.

Before dropping the full album, she’s unveiled a last single “God Turn Me Into A Flower,” which features Daniel Lopatin aka Oneohtrix Point Never on keyboards. Revisiting the myth of Narcissus, it’s an otherworldly ballad with nature sounds, bewitching vocals and an ambient-leaning finale. Listen and pre-order the album via Bandcamp below.
