Tokyo Tea Room share mellow and nostalgic new track “Things Are Changing”

Tokyo Tea Room‘s new song, “Things Are Changing”, is out on Painted Halo Records.

Canterbury psych-pop band Tokyo Tea Room follow up on their bittersweet single “Always Tomorrow“, that we premiered this Summer, with a brand new song that is just as hazy and dreamy.

Drawing from the psychedelic and shoegaze pioneers, they deliver a slice of autumnal and cinematic indie-pop, in the veins of Men I Trust, MUNYA and The Marias, or should we call it a meditation about this series of choices and crossroads that some call life? “‘Things Are Changing’ is about recognising yourself growing up, seeing yourself change and trying to find a balance,” explained primary songwriter Daniel Elliot. “The lyrics are telling a story of someone discovering their own flaws, analysing them and moving forward.” Watch the accompanying Glenn Harvey-directed video below..
