Hailing from Minsk, the capital of Belarus, post-punk trio Dlina Volny (Vad Mikutski, Masha Zinevitch and Ales Shyshla) make their debut on Italians Do It Better with “Do It.” Released through the label’s Fresh Blood series, the defiant and synth-heavy track draws from their love of early 1980’s Soviet pop and brutalist architecture. “This song is about a character who managed to break into the world they don’t belong in,” explains Masha. “They managed to lead a whole life & inspire other people to do things they’d always been afraid of. Love & Rebellion are an integral part of this journey.” Watch the Begi Bratan-directed video and buy the track on Bandcamp below.
