Retrograde88‘s self-released new song, “Whistling Winds,” is out now.
An avant-garde band based in Boston, Retrograde88 explore dream pop, psych rock and shoegaze in songs that sound both uplifting and haunting. Before announcing their upcoming debut album, the bandmates, who connected while studying at Berklee College of Music, are sharing a tantalizing new preview in the shape of “Whistling Winds.” The retro-flavored and groovy song was recorded in Paris in August 2023, with production handled by Retrograde88 and mixing by Brooklyn-based audio engineer Nolan Thies.
Arnaud, a passionate music enthusiast from France, now based in Madrid, founded HighClouds in 2015. With an ear for the dreamy, the ethereal, and the unconventional, he thrives on discovering and sharing boundary-pushing sounds. If it’s weird, bold, and forward-thinking, you can bet he’s here for it.
