Bouquet—the duo of artist Carolyn Pennypacker Riggs and producer Max Foreman—creates music that feels at once deeply personal and otherworldly. They first stepped onto the scene a decade ago, just as we were launching HighClouds, with their striking In A Dream EP. After that, they took a long hiatus, but their ethereal sound never left our hearts. Their lush, dreamy music lingers like a memory. Ready to re-enter Bouquet’s spellbinding world? Now’s the time—the band is set to release a new album and will play a rare series of live shows this summer.
The final single ahead of their upcoming debut album Spellbreaker, “All Living Rooms” is rich with atmosphere. Swirling synths and ghostly vintage textures bring to mind the haunting elegance of “When Doves Cry” and the shimmering pulse of “Hot on the Heels of Love.” But at its core, the track is about something more intimate: the quiet way spaces and architecture hold our presence. Originally heard in Season 3 of Transparent, this long-unreleased gem blending psychedelic influences and retro electronics finally gets its moment in the spotlight.
