In “Sunday,” Swimming Pool unravel the quiet absurdity behind the little rituals we cling to: the tossed coins, the wishful clovers, the whispered hopes on a rainy afternoon. “Sunday / I’ll be waiting in the rain / Sunday / Look for clovers in the rain / Drop my penny in the drain…” The track’s sparse layers and poetic repetition expose the fragile comforts behind these habits, offering both beauty and emptiness in the same breath. Klyl Shifroni’s bowed bass work, processed through pedals and subtle effects, doesn’t just accompany the vocals, it murmurs beneath them, like distant memories or static from another life. Produced by the duo, the song is a soundscape that feels as raw as it is spectral.
