Jam City announces new album My World, shares title track

Jam City's new album, My World, is out on September 23 via Mad Decent.

We have been into Jam City for a long time now, and Jack Latham has always had a pretty unique way of making club music feel both futuristic and strangely emotional. Over the years, the UK producer has moved from the sharper edges of Night Slugs to something much more fluid and pop minded, while working with names like Kelela, Troye Sivan, Lil Yachty and Olivia Rodrigo along the way. His last album, Jam City Presents EFM, was basically one of our soundtracks of summer 2023, so yes, we are very happy to have him back.

We are actually quite late to this announcement, but Jam City will release his new album My World on September 23 via Mad Decent. “I just went deeper and deeper into my own world on this album, and ended up with the most ‘me’ thing I’ve ever made,” Latham said about the record, which like EFM, features a lot of collaborations. First single and opening track “My World” brings together Aidan, Bawo and Ox Eye over a loose, dreamy R&B groove that is funky, hazy and just a little weird around the edges, in the best way. Latham also sounds pretty excited about the whole thing, writing, “Big love to all the collaborators that turned this little thing into a album. Feel like it’s probably the best thing I’ve ever done.” And as if that was not enough Jam City for one moment, he was also recently invited onto Logic1000‘s excellent new track “Jersey”, which has been getting plenty of plays around here too.
