Norwegian artist and producer lene 3000, the alias of Lene Talgø, is getting ready to release her debut album. Raised in a small town on Norway’s southwest coast, she comes to electronic pop from a pretty different starting point: she began playing violin at five, entered a national classical talent programme at 13 and is now pursuing a master’s degree in Electronic Music at the University of Agder. Since debuting in May 2025, she has released only a few singles, but she already has a very unique universe, somewhere between witch house, synth pop and darker club music. Her tracks have quietly travelled far beyond Norway, particularly on TikTok and Instagram, where we first discovered her.
Her first full length, Greatest Swamp Hits, arrives October 2 via 10K Projects. The record pairs ethereal electronic production with the darker atmosphere of the landscapes she grew up around. There is also a more academic side to the project: Talgø’s current research looks at the role nostalgia plays in contemporary music production, something that naturally feeds into music already interested in memory, atmosphere and blurred digital textures.
Alongside the announcement, lene 3000 has shared the album’s lead single, “Lights Off”. The track moves between eerie ambience and pulsing club breakbeats and pushes her sound into something both ghostly and surprisingly physical. It arrives with a video directed by Charlotte Dion, which starts as a tea party in the middle of a forest before turning into something totally surreal.
