Ana Roxanne announces sophomore record, shares “Suite pour l’invisible”

“Suite pour l’invisible” is taken from Ana Roxanne‘s sophomore record, Because of a Flower, out November 13 via Kranky.

In 2019, Ana Roxanne released ~~~, an amazing EP which landed in our Top 20 of that year, so we’re more than happy to see that the Los Angeles-based ambient singer and composer is soon to unveil her sophomore record. Crafted over the last five years, Because of a Flower was inspired by “interwoven notions of gender identity, beauty, and cruelty” according to the press release. Identifying as an intersex person, Ana Roxanne drew inspiration from spoken word texts borrowed from tonal harmony textbooks to cinematic dialogue samples and castrati aria allusions. Coming with this announcement, she has also unveiled the contemplative yet textured cut “Suite pour l’invisible”. In these troubled times, these seven minutes of pure beauty are more than welcome.
