Cruel Youth – Mr. Watson
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]I[/su_dropcap]s there a life after one of the biggest bad buzz of musical history? It might be! Do you remember English singer, songwriter and actress Teddy Sinclair, formerly known as Natalia Kills before the scandal that happened while she was a judge on X-Factor New Zealand? She’s back with a band, that is actually a duo with her husband Willy Moon. Cruel Youth’s “Mr. Watson” is a good and soulful song that should put them back on track quicker than expected!
Chairlift – Ch-Ching (Urban Outfitters Live)
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]C[/su_dropcap]aroline Polachek and Patrick Wimberly of Chairlift were recently invited by Urban Outfitters to perform the lead single off their second LP “Moth”: “Ch-Ching”. The performance demonstrates the incredible vocal skills of the singer and the kind of energy you can expect during their coming shows.
Vök – Waiting
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]V[/su_dropcap]ök is definitely one of the best indietronica and dream pop band of Iceland right now. We discovered them with “Waterfall” and since then, we fell into their musical universe which can vary between The xx or The Knife. The trio just shared “Waiting”, a new pop single that smells like geysers, fjords and northern lights.
Emel Mathlouthi – Ensen Daif
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]B[/su_dropcap]orn in Tunis, the amazing songwriter, composer, guitarist and singer Emel Mathlouthi brings modernity and new perspectives to Tunisian music. When we hear her last track “Ensen Daif”, this is impossible not to think of Lykke Li or Woodkid who would have grown up somewhere in the Orient. The track is particularly captivating and emotional and mixes lyrical, oriental drums and folk-pop elements.
BAIO – The Names
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]W[/su_dropcap]hile some of his fellas from Vampire Weekend are quitting the band or supporting politicians, bassist Chris Baio keeps on focusing on the promotion and the tour that goes with the release of his debut LP “The Names”. Some days ago, he released a self-directed video for the title track where he performs with a skull…
Kevin Morby – I Have Been To The Mountain
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]H[/su_dropcap]e is talented, he is funny, he is sexy… Kevin Morby, who was the former bassist of Woods and also a member of The Babies, will release his third LP “Singing Saw” on April 15, 2016. It will be the first one to be shared via Dead Oceans. Here is the Phillip Lopez-directed video for “I Have Been To The Mountain”, first single off the album, where he shows off that he can be a clown and a good dancer.
NEW VIDEO: Julia Holter – Everytime Boots
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]A[/su_dropcap]s we planned it some weeks ago, it is now confirmed that Julia Holter‘s new single is “Everytime Boots”. And as good news never come alone, here is the video for the track that was directed by Nite Jewel‘s Ramona Gonzalez.

Their track “Amerika” which is, by the way, ranked N°10 in the HighClouds30 this week (+3), has now a Olivier Groulx-directed video.
