EARfATHER – Rising In October

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]A[/su_dropcap]fter the hypnotic and inventive dance music of the Canadian producer Dan Snaith, discover EARfATHER, a Scottish electronica producer (or maybe duo) from Edinburgh that proposed a powerful and enchanting debut single some days ago. Following a bit the magic recipe of Caribou‘s “Can’t Do Without You”, “Rising In October” is a chill synth-wave that spreads all over you, both with freshness and warmth.

Niki & The Dove – So Much It Hurts

NikiandTheDoveSoMuchItHurts

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]I[/su_dropcap]t looks like Swedish indietronica act Niki & The Dove will explore some nostalgic places in their sophomore LP “Everybody’s Heart Is Broken Now”, that is due to be released on April 8 via Ten Music Group. Indeed, after the retro “Play It On My Radio“, here is the second single off the album: “So Much It Hurts”. It sounds like an old R&B/disco track and, by the way, the lyrics are directly mentioning Prince‘s 1990’s single “Thieves In The Temple”.

Suuns announce third LP “Hold/Still”, share new single “Translate”

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]M[/su_dropcap]ontreal-based rock band Suuns (pronounce it “soons”, and it translates as “zeroes” in Thai) will release a new album this year. After their 2015’s collaborative project with Jerusalem In My Heart, the four-piece band will share their third LP “Hold/Still” on April 15 via Secretly Canadian. As part of that announcement, here is the first single “Translate”, and the video that goes with it.

Miguel – Waves (feat. Travis Scott)

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]M[/su_dropcap]ore than 3 months after the release of the video of “Waves“, Miguel just shared a new rendition of the song with Travis Scott. The new track, which is a highlight from Miguel‘s last LP “Wildheart“, was produced by Cash Dillon.

BELGITUNES: Le Colisée

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]N[/su_dropcap]o, Belgium and Brussels are not only “hellholes” as would say the ugly Donald Trump! Our wonderful country is also a refuge for young talented and creative artists. Every Wednesday, we take some time to present one of them to the world. This week, let’s spend some time in the twisting pop music of Brussels-based band “Le Colisée”.

The Chemical Brothers – Wide Open (feat. Beck)

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]T[/su_dropcap]he Chemical Brothers released “Born In The Echoes” during last summer. It features collaborations from artists such as Q-Tip, St. Vincent or Beck. Finally, here is (once again) the Dom & Nic-directed video for the track with this latter artist: “Wide Open”. It follows the theme of human-robots that was already used in the video of “Go”.

Youth Lagoon – Rotten Human

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]T[/su_dropcap]revor Powers‘ musical project Youth Lagoon recently released a video for “Rotten Human”, a highlight from their last LP “Savage Hills Ballroom”. The Patrick Blades-directed video, whose aesthetics is sublime, fits perfectly the track and stars Daytona Williams.

4AM – More.

4AMMore.

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]T[/su_dropcap]he sun is about to rise, the rain is still striking on the windows where you wrote with your finger his name on the mist. You are laid down on your bed, you didn’t sleep. You are just obsessed by this guy that you miss all the time. You need more of him. This feeling that you all probably felt once in your life is perfectly captured by the English mixed duo 4AM and their debut oneiric and smooth R&B ballad: “More.”
