Icelandic trio aYia capture the essence of routine and turn it into an icy, frightful, and majestic track.
There’s not a lot of information available about Icelandic trio aYia and who cares? The mysterious act caught us by surprise with their first singles “Water Plant” and “Ruins” and they’re now back with another massive song, “Sparkle”. The track deals with all these little things one repetitively executes every day, until they become a routine, and then a prison. Peppered with clock sounds and fearsome arrangements, “Sparkle” quickly enriches itself and expands like a nightmare. When the synthesizers eventually explode, it’s too late: you are amazed and full of shivers down your spine.
