“Pleases Me” is the first single from CHERRIE LAUREL‘s debut album A Furnace, A Fire due out December 6.
CHERRIE LAUREL is the avant-pop solo project comprised of Vancouver’s artist Brittney Rand, formerly of electronic duo Mu. A few days ahead the release of her debut album A Furnace, A Fire, Rand has unveiled the video for the first single “Pleases Me”. In the metaphorical and phosphorescent clip, the artist is dancing to exorcise and free herself from her inner struggles. About this collaboration with visual artist Jordan Findlay, she said: “Jordan and I drove out to a field by the ocean, and he simply let me dance out my frustrations, in one intentionally overexposed take”.
