Christina Vantzou collaborates with Michael Harrison and John Also Bennett

Christina Vantzou, Michael Harrison and John Also Bennett‘s self-titled collaborative album releases September 2 via Séance Centre.

Brussels-based composer and experimental filmmaker Christina Vantzou is known for her slow-moving and spectral ambient, where electronics, samples and orchestral arrangements intertwine. Recently, Vantzou announced the release of a suite of raga-inspired compositions and improvisations made in collaboration with composer and pianist Michael Harrison and John Also Bennett. It was recorded in Berlin using a custom-tuned Steinway grand. Bennett also adds some underlying layers of modular synthesizers to the mix here to throw you off. The 8-track project is introduced by the meditative and spacious first taster « Harp Of Yeman ». Listen and pre-order below.

Earlier this year, our photographer Pavel Tikhomirov also met Christina Vantzou for a little photoshoot in the streets of Brussels.
