Toast, the bedroom pop artist that we discovered one year ago with “Scarlett”, is now going under the moniker Claud, in case you did not know it. Following up on the infectious “Never Meant To Call” – that is still in high rotation in the office -, the Brooklyn’s singer-songwriter has unveiled a new contrasting gem about a secret and complicated love story. Indeed, the song combines cheerful pop arrangements and heartrending lyrics like “you can hurt me, it’s easy”.
